PG&E to Upgrade Electric System; Planned Outages Anticipated

PG&E has begun its upgrades to Los Altos' electric system, which includes replacing 74 power poles, 134 transformers, and thousands of feet of hardened wires. Due to the size of the project, some customers may experience more than one planned power outage through the end of June.

Open House Set to Preview Library Courtyard Design

The Santa Clara County Library District will hold a preview of the new library courtyard design, presented by the project’s landscape architect, on Saturday, March 9, at 3 PM, in the Orchard Room of the Los Altos Main Library. Light refreshments served. This event is open to all; no registration required.

Los Altos Receives Multiple Awards for Excellence in Budgeting

The city of Los Altos has received two awards for excellence in budget presentation for its FY23-24 budget, the first year Los Altos utilized the zero based budgeting method. To be eligible for both the national and the state award, the City had to meet the highest principles of governmental budgeting.
