Uptown Keswick Parkette

A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held on Sunday, June 25, 2023 to mark the reopening of the revitalized Uptown Keswick Parkette. It was a great event featuring live music and an Indigenous dance. The park has been fully updated and includes an art installation celebrating indigenous culture. The steel sculpture, Nanabush, is a shape-shifting spirit guide manifesting as a tornado with the head of a rabbit. To learn more about the park, visit georgina.ca/BuildingGeorgina.

Willow and Geronimo

Meet Willow and Geronimo

Senior and special needs pets are often overlooked at animal shelters. People may hesitate to adopt pets due to their age or potential medical challenges. The Georgina Animal Shelter and Adoption Centre strives to find happy endings for all the animals that enter its care.

Two long-time residents, Willow and Geronimo, are a bonded pair of senior cats that have been sadly overlooked. Despite their charming personalities and affectionate nature, they haven't found their forever home.

Opening your heart to a senior or special needs pet is an incredible experience. If you want companionship and extra love, please consider adopting Willow and Geronimo. For more information, visit georgina.ca/PetAdoption or email animal-control@georgina.ca

Follow and share the adoptable pets on the shelter's Facebook
