Hydromania Summer Science Camp Kicks Off

This Month!


Hydromania summer science camp begins June 19. This fun-filled camp is designed for students that have completed 4th or 5th grades. The camp is focused on science, water, our environment, and energy. Hydromania includes hands-on experiments, activities, field trips and interaction with other students, making it an unforgettable experience. We have a new team this year that is preparing activities for our campers! Becky Seewer and Sabrina Waugh join our team and are ready to have a great summer with UEC Hydromania counselors and campers.

UEC Offers Fourteen Scholarships for Local Youth Education


Umatilla Electric Cooperative proudly announced the names of 14 outstanding students who have been awarded academic scholarships for their exceptional achievements. The scholarships, aimed at supporting higher education opportunities, were granted to deserving individuals whose parents/guardians are members of UEC.

Two Local Students Selected for National Youth Tour

Umatilla Electric is proud to announce that two local high school juniors have been chosen as the delegates for an all-expenses paid trip to Washington D.C. this June. Sanyana Felipe, from Irrigon, and Claire Owens, from Hermiston, have been chosen to represent UEC on a weeklong trip to the nation’s capital to celebrate the 2023 Electric Cooperative Youth Tour.

UEC’s 2023 Youth Tour delegates will represent Oregon and the Northwest and will join more than 1,500 other students from across the United States for the once-in-a-lifetime trip.

Meter Upgrades Being Installed in Echo, McKay Areas


On behalf of UEC, Allegiant Utility Services technicians are replacing existing digital meters across our service territory.

During meter installations, disruption to members should be minimal. The new automated meters help UEC’s ongoing efforts to improve service reliability.
