Live Training: Join us for two live trainings this June!
1. Finding Stress Management Strategies that Work for You (Wednesday, June 8; 12-1 p.m.): In this training you will learn and practice several stress reduction strategies to calm your body and mind. 2. Building the Road to Family Engagement: Practical Tools for Parenting Programs (Wednesday, June 22; 12-1 p.m.): After this training, you’ll be able to identify at least three tools and strategies to improve caregiver engagement and retention in your program. We know that every provider and program experiences different challenges related to engagement, so this training will be tailored to the needs of the attendees. Communities of Practice: Join a community where Parenting Providers support one another, share best practices and deepen their knowledge. CoPs are held monthly (the first week of the month) and are currently being offered virtually. CoPs will be held until June, with a summer break in July and August. 1. Parent Stressors & Barriers: This CoP is held on the first Wednesday of each month. The next CoP will be held on Wednesday, June 1 from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. In this CoP, we will be identifying key stressors and barriers your families may currently be facing, as well as identifying and practicing strategies to solve these barriers. 2. Creating Support Networks & Community Outreach/Recruitment: This CoP is held on the first Thursday of each month. The next CoP will be held on Thursday, June 2 from 10-11 a.m. In this CoP, we will work collaboratively to create networks of outreach and referrals across parenting providers in the community and discuss program recruitment strategies. 3. Practical Strategies and Equipment for Hybrid Delivery of Services: This CoP will be held on Tuesday, June 21 from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. Flexible delivery of services is more important than ever. In this CoP, we will discuss innovative and practical strategies for engaging caregivers and children during hybrid sessions (sessions delivered both in-person and virtually). The Solutions Specialist executes on solutions design in response to business priorities and vetted requirements. This position conducts unit testing and validates use cases to ensure solution aligns with requirements. As emerging technologies develop, the Solution Specialist is expected to learn these technologies quickly, assess their impact and identify user needs to assist with integrating new technologies with The Trust’s systems. Lead Program Officer
Advancing the organization’s vision, goals and program models, the Lead Program Officer oversees, coaches, and supports Breakthrough Miami’s site directors, who are embedded on multiple sites across Miami. Working collaboratively with program leadership, the Lead Program Officer helps inform and develop program implementation strategies to support site teams in achieving program goals, outcomes, and impact. The Lead Program Officer designs and leads onboarding, professional development, workplans, evaluations, and coaching of site staff. The Lead Program Officer works with site directors to improve program fidelity, operational efficiencies, leadership and management skills, and the quality of program delivery.

Assistant Site Direct
The Assistant Site Director (ASD) is responsible for the efficient and effective delivery of programs and services that most directly affect Breakthrough Miami Scholars and families. An ASD oversees campus or site logistics, unpaid student volunteers and some stipended positions, such as Teaching Fellows. As an ambassador of the program, the ASD builds supportive relationships with students, parents, schools, the community and other stakeholders to ensure the academic and socio-enrichment success of all Breakthrough Scholars.
The individual in this role is organized, self-motivated and collaborative, with strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Grants & Communications Writer
The Grants & Communications Writer is a critical member of the Development and Communications team and is primarily responsible for identifying funding opportunities from public and private sources, and writing polished proposals and grant applications to secure new and renewed funding, which will support fundraising efforts to meet an annual budget of $4.4M. The position will also support story development and organizational communications.
The Grants & Communications Writer must be highly organized, detail-oriented and able to work efficiently and creatively under deadline. The Writer will work closely with Program Leadership, including the Chief Strategy Officer, and should have strong research and logic skills.
Summer Instructional Coaches
Summer Instructional Coaches (ICs) are experienced and successful professional educators who provide content-specific support for BTM Teaching Fellows throughout the summer and engage fully in the BTM community. ICs dictate the level of academic rigor during Breakthrough Miami’s summer program through their interactions with Teaching Fellows. They effectively communicate content specifics to Teaching Fellows, guide Fellows through effective planning and execution, and hold both Fellows and students to the highest standards. ICs are expected to lead department meetings, visit Fellows’ classes at least twice a week, evaluate lesson plans and curriculum overviews, and meet individually with Fellows regarding their ongoing work. Since ICs are the only professional teachers on-site, they are accountable for the quality of instruction students receive and are responsible for supporting BTM Teaching Fellows through their teaching experiences. This role starts on June 11 and ends on August 5.
The individuals in this role must have a State of Florida Teaching Certificate or equivalent; an outstanding track record as a professional classroom teacher; exceptional interpersonal skills; the ability to deliver positive, constructive and honest feedback; and creativity, energy and commitment to excellence.
Summer Site Coordinators
Summer Site Coordinators (SSCs) are critical members of the summer administrative team and help ensure the smooth and safe operations of the Summer Institute at their assigned site. SSCs train, coordinate and oversee volunteers; supervise the summer food service program for Scholars and staff; order and keep an inventory of program supplies; coordinate general office administration; manage the Scholar drop-off and pick-up process; and assist with the execution of special events. This position starts on June 11 and ends on August 5.
The individuals in this role must have a strong academic record with a minimum of two years of college completion; and excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
Summer Assistant Site Coordinators
Summer Assistant Site Directors (SASDs) work collaboratively with full-time directors at their assigned site to ensure a successful Summer Institute; and work closely with Scholars and their families, as well as Teaching Fellows to ensure their needs are met. This position starts on June 11 and ends on August 5.
The individuals in this role must have a bachelor’s degree; a high degree of flexibility in order to multitask between projects; exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in many different environments with people from diverse backgrounds; comfort and confidence in working with children and adults; and creativity, energy, and a commitment to excellence.
