Presidential Inauguration

It is an exciting time on campus with the recent inauguration of the honorable Josiah R. Bonner, Junior as the University's fourth president.

President Bonner announced plans for a new state-of-the-art building for the Frederick P. Whiddon College of Medicine. He also shared plans for a new performing arts hall on campus. Click here to watch President Bonner's inaugural address.

Spring Registration

Spring 2023 course registration for current students will begin the last week of October. Each semester, you will be assigned a time ticket that specifies the date and time when you can access PAWS to register for the approaching semester. Students will be issued their time ticket on October 10, 2022. Click here for more information.

It is important that you connect with your academic advisor in a timely manner to ensure you secure your course schedule.

Academic advising is the process where you obtain the critical information needed to make thoughtful decisions about your college career, such as deciding upon a major or solving any roadblocks that you may encounter along the way.

JagPantry

Launched in 2017, the JagPantry is a support resource for students experiencing food insecurity. Available 24 hours a day, the JagPantry provides short-term relief by offering fresh and packaged foods as well as vital toiletries and hygiene products.

Studies have shown that a student's academic success may be affected if they are struggling with hunger or other basic needs. It is important that students feel valued, respected, and supported during this hardship.

Meet the Majors

If so, then we have the perfect event for you! The Meet the Majors Academic Tailgate is a great opportunity for you to explore the different majors offered at South in a fun and interactive way.

Homecoming at South Alabama is our annual tradition to celebrate Jaguar pride and spirit! Homecoming week for 2022 is October 10 - 15. The experience features a lineup of events open to the entire Jaguar community. The Homecoming festivities will commence Saturday at Hancock Whitney Stadium when our Jags battle against University of Louisiana Monroe.
