Texas Rising Star Recognition – This past Saturday, Workforce Solutions Borderplex recognized 94 TRS providers, out of which 79 daycares are 4-Star; 15 daycares are 3-Star; 5 daycares were there for the first time; and 3 were potential TRS providers. TRS is a certification for child care providers that exceed the state's minimum child care licensing standards. The TRS event provided child care providers with training by Lakeshore on the Importance of Early Childhood Educators and Their Impact on the Lives of Children. Dr. Abigail Tarango, Executive Director of El Paso Children's Hospital Foundation, was the keynote address speaker. The event closed with educational materials awarded to the child care providers to enhance their learning centers. Certificates were also awarded to the child care providers to display their accomplishments.
