Huguley and colleagues win award for paper
|
Associate Dean for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion James Huguley was recognized by Wiley for the "Top Cited Article 2020-2021" for his paper "Parental Ethnic-Racial Socialization and Children of Color's Academic Success: A Meta-Analytic Review" in the journal Child Development. Authors are Ming-Te Wang (Pitt School of Education), LeAnn Smith (Texas A&M), and Dana Miller-Cotto (Kent State University). Read the paper here.

Doctoral students awarded fellowships
|
Congratulations! Doctoral students Ana Flores and Cortney VanHook have been awarded the Provost Dissertation Year Fellowship for Historically Underrepresented Doctoral Students for the 2022-2023 academic year. The fellowship provides dedicated time for doctoral students to work full-time on finishing their dissertation during the last year of doctoral work.

PhD students win poster competition

Congratulations! Doctoral students Emily Underwood and Alex Fixler won the doctoral category of the 2022 Health Disparities and Social Justice Poster Competition. The competition, held by the Office of Health Sciences Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, is open to Pitt graduate or professional students and postdoctoral trainees conducting community-based interventions addressing health disparities or social justice.
