Dear Member, Stakeholder, Supporter,
Positive progress was made again this week with our efforts to #raisetheroof. In spite of more significant snow fall, teams have been working daily to remove snow, ice, and water from the dome surface and were able to clear enough for our contractors to then partially inflate the dome. No more damage was identified at this time and the rips have now been 'edged' ready to be sealed together. Our blower unit came through the blizzard intact and is ready to start firing up again. We now spend another week hoping that Mother Nature will play nice with us and allow for more progress as every day the weather gets a bit better.
The month of February has flown by. As a Club, this is typically our turning point when we start to focus on the summer outdoor programs but this year, just like last, will require plenty of juggling as we work to ensure Recreational games are completed and Competitive training sessions are all delivered before we close the books on Indoor 2021. As a rough guide, our Indoor season will run until mid-May in order to meet our commitments to you, and we will then immediately jump into Outdoor 2022.
This means that you will start to notice advertising for the Outdoor 2022 Recreational program, Summer Camps, and Competitive teams. Please make sure you don't miss out! Last year was a fantastic year of 'Return To Play' and we want to keep that positive momentum going into 2022. Plenty of program information can be found on the website, or reach out to your coach for more details on Summer 2022.
Contact staff by email or on social media if you have a question about our programs. We are active on the Pickering Neighbours Facebook page and we're happy to respond to questions you, your friends, or neighbours may have.
