March 20, 2024 - Issue 31

Good evening!

It is one week to Easter Break! I realize that many of you are already thinking of those happy, care-free days, however, before we all enjoy that well-deserved time away, many items need to be crossed off that to-do list. Please review the deadlines for applications, scholarships, and contests listed in the information below. So many opportunities are waiting for you, but you need to take that first step and do the work. Please consider submitting your art for the Congressional and VFW art contests and check out a few new scholarships that are a bit outside the box. Times are changing and companies are looking to put their money towards creative outside the box thinkers. So, if that is you, get a move-on. The deadlines for those are next week.

I love sharing great ripple stories and I have one for you this evening. Our EC community met the 3000 feminine products Period Poverty goal and surpassed it by 1400! Even though we went above and beyond, we are still collecting products. Please check out the link HERE and help stomp out Period Poverty in Lorain County.

Best of luck to our Robotics team as they compete in the FIRST Robotics Competition at Cleveland State University's Wolstein Center, March 21-23. Prowl with Pride Panthers!

Keep the ripple going!

Beyond the Panther Classroom

Attention all Panthers, Your Robotics Team Is Going to Cleveland!

Get ready to cheer on our scrappy and determined FIRST Robotics Team as they gear up for another three days of non-stop robot athletics on March 21, 22 & 23. Led by President Bryn Miserandino and our dedicated mentors, our team embodies the spirit of innovation and collaboration that defines the FIRST Robotics Competition.

It’s been a challenging time. Our students have been hard at work since February, building, tuning, testing, and repairing their robot to compete in this year's game. From machining parts, to staying waaaaaaaaaaay to late to get something “just right.” Every day has been a testament to our dedication.

As we prepare to show off our hard work on the competition stage, we invite the entire School to tune into the FRC stream at this link https://www.twitch.tv/firstinspires6 and rally behind our Robotics Team. Let's support these bright minds as they embrace the values of gracious professionalism and strive to make a difference in the world, one robot at a time.
