Dr. Bernadette Anderson | The Health Benefits of Mindfulness in the Black Community, and 6 Ways to Get Started

CMA Board Member, Bernadette Anderson, MD, is a well-known and highly regarded medical expert with more than 20 years in the healthcare industry, which includes extensive experience in acute, clinical, and preventive care.

She has devoted much of her time to developing, teaching, and educating others on the principles of health and lifestyle medicine.

Next month we will sit down with Dr. Anderson to discuss her contributions to medicine.

The Total Solar Eclipse is quickly approaching and CMA Affiliate, COTS, has been hard at working planning to ensure Ohioans' safety during the once-in-a-lifetime event.

Here's a short breakdown of things you should know ahead of the April event.

Made for Medicine Spring 2024 Applications Open

Applications for Made for Medicine's Spring 2024 cohort are now open. They will be accepting 25 Black students who are in 6th and 7th grade. Students will be exposed to medical topics like Neurology, Cardiology, Pediatrics, Nephrology, and Emergency Medicine.

Free PPE Offered by Ohio Department of Health

For institutions that need supplies of PPE to help prevent the spread of infectious diseases including Covid-19, the State of Ohio is offering PPE at no charge.

The PPE was purchased with federal funds to respond to the COVID-19 public health emergency.
