Good morning, Elyria Catholic community!

We are delighted to share exciting news from this weekend's CLE 2:16 conference, which concluded with the Jan Tyranowski Outstanding Youth Minister Award presentation. The award was created to recognize an outstanding youth minister in the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland who, like Jan, has left a lasting impact on the lives of the teens in their parish or community and helped them grow deeper in their faith.

We are proud to announce that this year's recipient is Sara Lanzola. Sara was selected for this prestigious award out of several nominees. Sara's passion for sharing the Gospel with teens through everyday life is inspiring. Her tireless efforts to make each student feel important and loved have touched countless lives.

One of the nominations for Sara stated, "To me, what makes her truly special is how she cares and shows that she cares about students. Among all the chaos and jumble of today’s world, it can be easy to feel like you are just another person or like you don’t matter. She makes sure you feel important. She doesn’t do this job for a paycheck. She doesn’t just clock in, fulfill the everyday requirements, and clock out. She will do anything for her students, showing them unconditional love. I can never say enough about how she has changed my life by showing me God."

Congratulations, Sara! You exemplify our Pillars of Excellence, Faith, and Community!
