Classes are again in full swing on campus, and we are excited to see faculty and students back at the Museum. When you are next here, please be sure to visit Andean Modernities / Contemporary Art: Cultural Transformation in Peru, Ecuador, and Bolivia, a newly opened exhibition curated by associate professor Carolyn Wolfenzon Niego and the students from her fall seminar, “The Modern Worldview of the Andes: Art, Literature, Architecture, and the Environment.” This project continues a long tradition of faculty and students curating exhibitions at the Museum. Also, you won’t want to miss Antiquity & America: The Ancient Mediterranean in the United States, a critically acclaimed exhibition highlighting more than 300 artworks from the ancient past to today. It closes on February 5. And, finally, if you have not already picked up free tickets for George Lopez’s two piano concerts on February 16, be sure to do so soon, as his “Music at the Museum” performances usually sell out.
We look forward to seeing you at the Museum!
