Jones chosen for CSWE Program Director Academy
BASW Program Director Toya Jones has been selected by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) and CSWE’s Council on Leadership Development for the 2022 Program Director Academy. The Program Director Academy requires a 1-year commitment, and includes activities such as a Virtual Summer Leadership Institute, a Leadership Development Institute, and online modules, webinars, and virtual networking opportunities. Alumnus named President at SUNY New Paltz
Doctoral alumnus was appointed President of SUNY New Paltz by the SUNY Board of Trustees. Dr. Darrell P. Wheeler currently serves as Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs at Iona College. Read more.
Steelers Extend Rookie Minicamp Offer to Former Pitt WR Tre Tipton
An MSW alumnus, Tipton overcame injuries and mental health challenges to become a leader and advocate during his Pitt tenure. Alumnus receives award and fellowship
MSW alumnus Michael Dubinski was nominated by his classmates at Marquette University Law School to receive the Ralph J. Huiras Law School Citizen Award and accompanying full-tuition scholarship for his 2L year. The award is given each year to a first-year student who, “adds to the spirit of the Law School community by demonstrating a broad spectrum of qualities, including the following: professionalism; a willingness to assist fellow students; involvement in the Law School and the broader community; and other indicia of excellence, faith, leadership, and service.” Dubinski will also spend the summer at the Wisconsin Governor’s Office of Legal Counsel as both a law clerk and a Marquette Public Interest Law Society Fellow.
Obituary: Reverend Monsignor John L. Conway
MSW alumnus and Monsignor John L. Conway, the oldest and longest serving priest of the Diocese of Greensburg, died April 28, 2022, at St. Anne Home in Greensburg, PA. He was 92 years old. Read more.
