The aerospace industries in the Los Angeles / Southern California area have a very long proud history, and a strong/unique presence. The exciting and rapid development in aerospace and technology in Los Angeles / S. CA have been amazing, and can lead to a brighter future for people in the Los Angeles area. It's very important to work together with the political leaders to advance those sectors and tap into the great resources / growth. This is an important key to the brighter future for people in Los Angeles, via Innovations, Professional/Business Development, STEM Education, Public Policy, and Employment, etc., in the related sectors.

Ms. Jessica Lall has extensive experiences in public services and a great passion for improving the life of people in Los Angeles. She will share with the attendees her experiences, efforts, and her views/perspectives/supports toward how together we can build and make Los Angeles a City of Brighter Future for all.

Jessica is a working mom, executive leader, coalition builder, problem solver and believer in a brighter future for Los Angeles. Jessica, 37, is the proud daughter of a father who immigrated from New Delhi, India and a mother from a military family in Oklahoma. She was born in Texas. Jessica attended the University of Southern California, where she was elected student body president. In 2017, Jessica became CEO of CCA, an advocacy organization representing over 300 organizations and is focused on the future of urban centers. Prior to CCA, Jessica served as Executive Director of South Park Business Improvement District, where she managed the nuts and bolts of community-building. As Senior Policy Director in Mayor Villaraigosa’s administration, Jessica helped bring quality jobs to the city and support local businesses. Jessica currently serves on USC’s Board of Governors and nonprofit boards for Coro Southern California, Goodwill Southern California and the LA Tourism & Convention Board. Jessica lives in Mar Vista with her husband, Luke, their young daughter, Arya, dog, Cheyenne and cat, Jax.

 

Ms. Jessica Lall is a CEO of Central City Association (CCA) of Los Angeles, a local LA leader and has been in public service for several years. During this talk, she will talk about her accomplishments in the public service and her plans and policies to support and uplift the LA community. She will share some of her recent initiatives with us during her presentation and how these will help increase tech employment in the area including the Aerospace & Defense sector:

 

• To support LA’s tech and entrepreneurial ecosystem, Jessica launched the annual LA Tech Summit with Stage Venture Partners and other stakeholders, to give entrepreneurs direct and high-level exposure to the city’s active venture capital community.

 

• In response to the pandemic’s economic impacts, Jessica’s organization developed a tailored marketing and social media campaign to support local and small businesses in impacted industries, including restaurants and retail.

Jessica is also running for the mayor of Los Angeles in 2022 as she would like to serve her community with her strong vision and proven track record to manage our way out of these interconnected crises.
