Henry Cabot Lodge Jr., Home Movies

The Henry Cabot Lodge Jr. Papers include five home movies that provide a peek into the United States around 1940. Scenes range from natural landscapes in California and Maine to a parade and baseball game in Florida. Closer to home, the footage captures classic locations across Boston.

While originally on 16mm film, these reels have been digitized and are viewable online.

Thanks to the Digital Archive, the public can now access this content for the first time. Find these materials linked from our collection guides and ABIGAIL, the MHS library catalog.
