City Officials, Georgia Power Launch ONE Light Initiative

The future of Forest Park just became even brighter after city leaders and Georgia Power announced the official launch of ONE Light, a new strategic initiative which aims to complete the upgrade and replacement of the city's aged high-intensity discharge (HID) light fixtures with more reliable, efficient light emitting diode (LED) lights.

Prior to the launch of the campaign, city staff and representatives from Georgia Power conducted an in-depth analysis of the city's current street light inventory in order to evaluate area outages and future needs. Officials plan to use the collected data to enhance visibility for pedestrians, bicyclists and motorists during dark hours, while also working to increase public safety efforts in areas throughout the city.
