Upcoming Holiday Closure: Martin Luther King Jr. Day

In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Los Altos City Hall and most City facilities and departments will be closed on Monday, January 20. Police and emergency services remain available 24 hours a day. Regular business hours will resume on Tuesday, January 21.

Reminder: New Daylighting Law In Effect

To improve pedestrian safety, a new state law known as the "Daylighting Law" (AB 413) took effect on January 1, 2025. Drivers are now required to park at least 20 feet away from crosswalks, improving visibility at crosswalks. The City will issue warnings for violations before issuing tickets.
