Upcoming Holiday Closure: Martin Luther King Jr. Day

In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Los Altos City Hall and most City facilities and departments will be closed on Monday, January 20. Police and emergency services remain available 24 hours a day. Regular business hours will resume on Tuesday, January 21.

Connect with Council: Office Hours Happening This Week

Vice Mayor Neysa Fligor will hold office hours on Saturday, January 25, from 2:30-4 PM at the Los Altos Community Center. Vice Mayor Fligor hosts office hours once a month, where constituents can ask questions and share concerns in person.

SVCE Now Offers Same-Day Water Heater Replacement

Silicon Valley Clean Energy (SVCE) now offers a new service for single-family residents experiencing water heater issues. The program guarantees same-day service and hot water restoration within 48 hours, with potential no-cost upgrades for qualified residents.

Reminder: New Daylighting Law In Effect

To improve pedestrian safety, a new state law known as the "Daylighting Law" (AB 413) took effect on January 1, 2025. Drivers are now required to park at least 20 feet away from crosswalks, improving visibility at crosswalks. The City will issue warnings for violations before issuing tickets.
