The Multicultural Leadership Center 

The Multicultural Leadership Center (MLC) aims to provide an environment that facilitates holistic academic, personal, and social development and success, through diversity, inclusion, and opportunity. These foci are accomplished through leadership enrichment, effective and pragmatic mentoring, and a sustained commitment to lifelong learning. Click here for more detailed information.
In celebration of Black History Month, the MLC will be hosting their annual Soul Food Luncheon on February 16th at 12:00 p.m. in the Student Center Ballroom. 

During this event, attendees will enjoy a meal along side an inspiring message through song and dance, encouraging hope and perseverance.

Handshake

Is your student looking for an internship, co-op, or on-campus job? Then have them check out Handshake, the #1 college-to-career network offered to all students for free through Career Services! 

Career Services can also help your student explore career paths related to majors, network with potential employers, and find career opportunities.

This month Career Services will be hosting the Hire-A-Jag Career Fair on February 7th from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Mitchell Center Grand Globe Lobby. Your student can register for this event in Handshake.
Study Abroad

From interning to volunteering, the Study Abroad program here at South provides your student the chance to spend time in a different country while earning credits toward their degree. Studying abroad can help your student grow academically, personally, and professionally. 

The Office of International Education and Study Abroad is here to help your student explore the many options available and select the program that best fits their needs.

SouthFit 

Here at South, our SouthFit program strives to provide a variety of services to help our Jaguar family reach their health and fitness goals. SouthFit's group fitness classes include cardiorespiratory endurance, muscular strength and endurance, flexibility, and neuromotor skills. Their certified instructors will lead your student in fun and effective workouts! Encourage your student to check out their calendar and try an exciting group fitness class.
Jaguar Athletics

The University of South Alabama boasts a rich athletic history with 15 NCAA Division I athletic programs. The teams and student-athletes serve as a source of unity among students, alumni, faculty, staff, and the community South serves while being a catalyst to fostering pride and school spirit. Have your student check out the USA Jaguars Athletic Calendar, so they pick an event to attend to cheer on our Jaguars!
