Dear Member, Stakeholder, Supporter,

Sunday marks the first day of Spring and with the continued warm weather this week our Facility Staff and volunteers have made great progress in the removal of ice and water from the dome surface. We will have to monitor for high winds during the start of next week but we are hopeful that the remaining repairs can be made. Of course, we will keep an eye on the weather conditions to ensure the safety of our staff and contractors as we #raisetheroof and then assess any internal damage.

Please note all programs continue to operate with the exception of Recreational U12, U15, U18 and Women. Dave Lord, our Recreational Administrator, has a plan in place for those missing Recreational divisions and will keep teams informed. On the Development and Competitive side the indoor status remains the same for the younger ages as they use a range of facilities across Durham. We had hoped to get the older age groups out on the turf by this weekend but there are still reservations regarding the readiness of City fields at Kinsmen and Pine Ridge. We are speaking regularly with City staff to get those permits as soon as possible.

With the kick off for the Outdoor season coming soon for OPDL (6 weeks), Competitive (8 weeks) and Recreational (9 weeks) we would like to encourage families to get registrations in and completed as soon as you can. This helps us manage the mountain of planning and preparation we have to do for team entries, training times, coach screening, field permits, uniform/equipment ordering, sponsorship work etc. Don't forget our Early Bird savings for Recreational end April 1st!

Finally, PFC would like to welcome two new Board members to the Club. Seana Haley (Director at Large - Recreational, All Abilities and Community) and Paul Baba (Director at Large - Marketing and Sponsorship). We are really glad to have their experience, knowledge, and passion on the PFC Board and look forward to their leadership. If you would like to contact a PFC Board Member with an idea or suggestion their contact details can be found HERE.
