Amazon holding a giant check for one hundred thousand dollars

A few days before Christmas, Amazon and Santa teamed up to bring joy to patients who were spending the holiday season at Valley Children's Hospital. Corporate and local leaders from Amazon joined Santa to deliver Amazon Fire Kindle tablets and stuffed animals to patients. It was an incredible experience for patients and families, as well as physicians and staff who had the opportunity to see the patients they serve year-round be cared for so generously courtesy of Amazon.

In addition to this incredible gesture, Amazon further helped patients with a gift of $100,000 to the Claude and Betty Lou Laval Angel Fund at Valley Children's Hospital. One hundred percent of donations to the Laval Angel Fund are used to help meet the non-medical needs of patients and families going through treatment at Valley Children's Hospital.

Thank you to Amazon and their remarkable leaders who made a tremendous impact in hundreds of patients' lives at Valley Children's Hospital who are here with us this holiday season, and for the investment to help thousands of kids in the future!

Isnardi

The Isnardi Foundation was founded by the late Vincent Tocchini Isnardi, who -- after graduating from the University of California-San Francisco’s School of Pharmacy -- joined the family pharmacy business, the International Drug Company.

In 2006, Vincent created the Isnardi Foundation, which was his way of continuing to support those in need in Fresno and the surrounding area. Since the inception of the Isnardi Foundation, many organizations have benefited from Vincent's generosity, including The Fresno Truck Center Childhood Cancer Survivorship Program. The Isnardi Foundation donated $100,000 this year to support the program's endowment, bringing their contributions to a remarkable $800,000 since 2014.

The Fresno Truck Center Childhood Cancer Survivorship Program at Valley Children's works with pediatric cancer patients and families who have completed treatment and are declared cancer-free. The program provides a comprehensive evaluation of the survivor’s health, academic and social development, and provides patients with education about their diagnosis, treatment, potential late effects and health maintenance.

We are truly grateful for the Isnardi Foundation’s commitment to helping the Valley’s survivors of pediatric cancer.

We would like to thank a very special group for their generous support to the patients and families at Valley Children's. This year marked the 36th annual Central Valley Petroleum Invitational (CVPI) Golf Tournament, hosted by Mr. Jim Shehadey and other local petroleum industry leaders who serve on the event committee. Together, the group raised an incredible $40,000 to help patients and families this year. Spanning nearly four decades, this generous group has donated nearly $400,000 to Valley Children's Hospital.

Each year, the committee invites their customers and vendors to play in the golf tournament to raise awareness and funds for the Hospital's greatest needs. We are grateful for their passion and dedication to continue this partnership that makes an extraordinary positive impact on the patients and families we serve. Thank you to all who participated!

Thank you to the incredibly dedicated and generous Directors of the Clovis Rodeo Association for hosting the 6th annual Kids, Cowboys & Clays fundraiser this past fall, collectively donating and raising $25,000 to help patients and families at Valley Children's Hospital. The event included a breakfast, sporting clay tournament, live and silent auctions, and an amazing tri-tip lunch with peach cobbler dessert.

"We are tremendously grateful to the Clovis Rodeo Association for their continued partnership and incredible generosity to the patients and families served at Valley Children’s," said Valley Children’s Healthcare Foundation President Rob Saroyan. “We really appreciate the hard work, dedication, and generosity of the Clovis Rodeo Association’s Directors that made this year's Kids, Cowboys, and Clays an extraordinary success for kids."

Since the event’s inception, the Clovis Rodeo Association has donated $111,000 to Valley Children’s through Kids, Cowboys & Clays. Thank you to the Clovis Rodeo Association and all who supported this year's event!

On December 19, the board of directors from The Nasim Rad Hope Foundation visited Valley Children's Hospital to bless oncology and hematology patients and families with a $19,000 gift. Nasim was a former Valley Children's patient, and her family has honored her legacy for the past 10 years by raising funds to help other families who are battling cancer. We are so grateful to Nasim's family and friends for their continued support and for helping to make a difference in the lives of our patients in her memory.
