Happy New Year and welcome back! I hope you had a restful and invigorating break!

REMINDERS

Students can register until January 7 at noon, when registration will close. Payment for classes is due at this point. Drop/Add will begin on January 9 and end on January 10.

ECU LET'S CONNECT

ECU Let's Connect will take place on Thursday, January 30th from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the Dennis Wicker Civic Center. The event is designed to bring high school students to campus, particularly those who may not have considered college, and have them "connect" with community college and ECU staff. The goal is to make students more aware of how the community college can be an important first step and lead to opportunities for transfer. We will have some programming and presentations in English and Spanish. ECU is contracting to provide bus service to bring in students from all of our service area counties. Building Bridges: Connecting with Students for a Successful Start

Wednesday, January 29

12-1 p.m.

It is important to connect with and learn about your students at the beginning of the semester. Learn how to look up basic information about your students and how to use communication tools to communicate with them.

TRANSFER EVENTS

You are invited to the App State's North Carolina Community College Counselor Symposium (NCCCCS)! The symposium is a virtual only event that will offer programming from 9:30am-3:00pm on February 12 & 9:30am-3:00pm on February 13.

The symposium will include updates from each Academic College at App State, as well as important information from the Transfer Admissions & Engagement team.

East Carolina University’s College of Health & Human Performance is inviting you to their first ‘Navigating Transfers: HHP’s Guide for Community College Partners’ event which will be held on Friday, February 7^th, 2025 at Minges Coliseum in Greenville, NC. This event is designed specifically for community college advisors, program directors, counselors, and other educational staff to explore Health & Human Performance majors available at East Carolina University and to gain insights into our transfer process. Please check with your department head if you would like to attend this event.
