Surviving Finals Week
We all know finals week can be a bit stressful for students. Some of our South departments and student organizations on campus will host events to help your student de-stress.
Student Academic Success and the Center for Academic Excellence will be hosting the Long Night Against Procrastination on December 3rd from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at Shelby Hall. After students check in at the atrium, they will be able to choose between guided study sessions, silent study, or meeting with a tutor. Destress kits and refreshments will be available as supplies last.
The Office of Scholarship Services in partnership with our USA One Stop team will be hosting a JagSPOT Relaxation Station on December 6th from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Student Center Terrace. Students are invited to take a study break to de-stress with fun activities that include popping bubble wrap, coloring, solving puzzles, playing with fidget spinners, and more! Free snacks and drinks will also be provided.
The First Year Council will be hosting Deck the Halls on December 6th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Student Center Terrace. Students can decorate an ornament, enter a cookie decorating contest, win awesome prizes, enjoy free food, and more!
The
Marx Library will be offering extended hours during finals week for study sessions.
