Tropical Storm Debby Updates

As Tropical Storm Debby approaches the area, make sure you're receiving updates from the Village of BHI. There are several ways to receive timely information: CodeRed, the Village's Voice and text. Click the button below to select the method that you prefer from the Village's website.

Once the storm passes, BHA staff can help you easily navigate approval for trimming or removing any trees that may have been damaged or fell during the storm. If the tree is an immediate danger to a person or your home go ahead and remove the branch/tree. First, take a photo of the tree in place and then sent it to trees@baldheadassociation.com. If the branch/tree isn't an immediate danger, tag it with an easily identifiable ribbon and send an email to trees@baldheadassociation.com, including your BHI address and contact information. Staff will respond quickly with further information.

With the worst of the storm expected mid-week, the BHA administrative office will be closed on Wednesday and Thursday. Staff will be working remotely and can be reached via email. Normal office hours are expected to resume on Friday. Click the below button for the staff roster.

Help BHA help you by ensuring we have your correct and complete contact information

~ A recent example highlighting why this is so important ~

Here is one example of why BHA needs your correct and complete contact information, including email address and phone number. Recently, a resident reported water coming from their neighbor’s home when no one was at the house. This kindly neighbor correctly notified the Public Safety Department. Public Safety personnel were dispatched to the house and unfortunately discovered that the home did not have a Knox Box, so they were unable to access the home to assess the situation. Public Safety personnel then contacted BHA to see if the property owner had a “Key Holding” agreement, which was not the case. Fortunately, BHA had the correct email address and phone number for the property owners and was able to reach them. In this instance, the water leakage was due to a faulty hot water heater, and the situation has been resolved.
