Restaurant Strong Fund Community Award

The Restaurant Strong Community Award, made possible by the Grubhub Community Fund, will honor small business restaurants throughout the U.S. that have made positive impacts in their communities. Nominations are being accepted for restaurants and their employees. To be eligible, restaurants must be currently open and operating; provide at least one reference and/or link to news articles, program initiatives or any other sites to showcase the community impact; and provide a detailed explanation of how the restaurant positively impacts the community. Grants will range from $1,000 to $5,000 and will be given out monthly to community builders within the restaurant industry.

TOURISM UPDATES

Florida Tourism Numbers Continue Upswing!

Florida welcomed a record number of visitors in the third quarter of this year, according to Visit Florida, the state's tourism marketing corporation. During the third quarter, the state welcomed 1.9 million overseas travelers, an increase of 85.5% from 2021. Hotel room bookings grew by 9.2% compared to the same period last year. Between July and September, Florida welcomed 35.1 million visitors, marking a 6.9% increase from Q3 2021. This is the fifth consecutive quarter of overall visitation that has surpassed pre-pandemic levels.
