Book Club: Campfire book discussions
|

Bring a lawn chair, cozy up to a campfire, and discuss an engaging book with others at the Emily Oaks Nature Center.
Wednesday, April 6
7-8 p.m.
The group will discuss "Finding the Mother Tree: Discovering the Wisdom of the Forest" by Suzanne Simard, a book that teaches us that forests are social, cooperative creatures connected through underground networks.
In case of inclement weather, the program will be held indoors.

Hiking Club: Discover local hiking trails
|
|
Meet other hikers while experiencing the best local hiking trails. You'll be led on an hour-long hike at a different natural area each week within a 30-minute drive.
Saturday, April 30
9:30 a.m.–noon
The hike will be led by Emily Oaks Nature Center staff at River Trails Forest Preserve. Hikes are moderately paced to ensure the full enjoyment of the surrounding natural world. This is a great opportunity to socialize, exercise and enjoy the wonders of nature. Transportation is by passenger van, or participants can meet the group at the trailhead.

Ladies Golf League – Tuesday Mornings
Morning golf for ladies of all abilities, this league runs 16-weeks and includes permanent tee times and a post-season awards luncheon. Individual or foursome registration only.

After-Work Co-Rec Golf League – Tuesday Evenings
This Tuesday evening 18-week co-rec golf league includes shotgun starts and a post-season awards presentation. Form your own team or register as a single player and meet new friends!

Age: 18+
Senior Co-Rec Golf League – Wednesday Mornings
This 19-week Wednesday morning co-rec golf league is for seniors of all abilities and includes permanent tee times and a post-season awards presentation. Individual or group registrations available.
