All alumni, faculty, and staff members are invited to nominate a deserving alum for the 2020 Alumni Achievement Awards, which honor graduates who have displayed great accomplishment(s) in one or more of the following areas: professional achievement, community volunteer service, and humanitarian efforts.
Nominations must be received by February 15.

Holy Family Welcomes New Mascot, Blue!
|
|
Holy Family University introduced a new mascot, Blue, during a double header basketball game on Tuesday, December 3. "At age 32, and with two degrees under its belt, it was time for the previous Tiger to join our very active alumni association,” said Sister Maureen McGarrity, President of the University.
Blue, Tiger, and all our alumni who have proudly sported the Tiger mascot costume over the years were formally recognized for their service during halftime.
All are invited to meet Blue on Saturday, December 21 at the basketball games against Jefferson beginning at 12 Noon. The games will also celebrate the 2019 Holy Family Athletics Hall of Fame inductees:

- Holy Family hosts Women in Leadership Day On November 20, Holy Family hosted the Northeast Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce's Women In Industry Day. . The event featured interviews and discussions with industry leaders to help women learn more about careers in banking, construction, healthcare, law enforcement, technology, trades and more. Holy Family's President, Sister Maureen McGarrity, CSFN, PhD '70, greeted and welcomed guests. See a photo from the event here.
- Kopka Wins Tampa Review Prize Dr. Keith Kopka, Assistant Professor from the School of Arts & Sciences, has won the 2019 Tampa Review Prize for Poetry for his first book of poems, Count Four. In addition to a $2,000 check, the award includes hardback and paperback book publication in 2020 by the University of Tampa Press. Read the full announcement here.
- Women's Volleyball returned to NCAA Division II Semifinals Holy Family's women's volleyball team received an at-large bid to return to the NCAA Division II East Region semifinals and became the first CACC team to attend the conference in back-to-back years. The Tigers defeated Bentley University in the quarterfinals, but fell short to University of Bridgeport on Friday, December 6, at Molloy College's Quealy Gymnasium. - Alumni Social Media News Holy Family Alumni's Facebook page surpassed 1,000 likes and followers in November 2019. The Office also created an Instagram account to pair with their Twitter account and LinkedIn Group. All Alumni are invited to submit their photos and updates to be featured on these channels.
