A BEAUTIFUL FALL FOUNDER'S DAY
Our timeless Founder's Day tradition paid tribute to John McDonogh and
40 members of the McDonogh Family
who passed away since last year's ceremony. As each name was read by Alumni Association President Jason Schwartzberg ’99, a bell tolled in Tagart Memorial Chapel and Alumni Association Vice President Josh Thomas ’06 and Director of Alumni Relations Beth Sauer Hopkins ’02 placed a flower at the base of the monument.
Schwartzberg said, “In each of their lives, they provided us with examples of excellence, integrity, and honor. Their lives and contributions enriched the McDonogh community and for that, we are grateful.”

BID FAREWELL TO FINNEY
Excitement is Building for our New Middle School!
|
|
Thanks to the generosity of many in the McDonogh community, our Philanthropy Team is close to securing the funds needed to begin building a new Middle School. In order to move forward with construction as soon as the “magic number” is reached, we have started the demolition of Finney Building. Once we have raised the funds, it is estimated that the building will take approximately 18 months to complete.
If you have a fond memory to share about Finney Building or your Middle School experience, please submit it
here
. We plan to post submitted messages to the alumni section of our website. Also, you can watch a livestream of the demolition and future construction

MEMORIAL DAY SERVICE FOR VIETNAM ERA VETERANS
The McDonogh Memorial Day Service is a treasured tradition that honors alumni who gave their lives for our country. Each year, we invite alumni who are serving or who have served in the armed forces to join McDonogh students, faculty, and staff for this meaningful event. This year, as part of our service, we extend a special invitation to alumni veterans who served during the Vietnam Era to join us as we reflect and honor their service. The annual Memorial Day Service will take place on Thursday, May 21, 2020, at 9:00 a.m.
If you would like to receive more information about this event, please contact Beth Sauer Hopkins '02, Director of Alumni Relations, at
