Time to Vote for the People's Choice Award

We need your help!

Six judges sifted through more than 150 submissions to the Division of Research Art of Science photo contest , which were pictures of research in the field, in the lab and across all disciplines. They elevated 36 photo finalists, choosing 3 winners and 11 honorable mentions. (To see all winners and finalists, visit here .)

Now it's your turn to judge!

Please select your favorite of the remaining finalists to be awarded the Art of Science People's Choice award at the opening of the upcoming art exhibit (details on the exhibit coming soon).

New Course for Researchers: Responsible Conduct of Research

Did you know? Students and faculty researchers can now learn about the conduct and misconduct of research through a new course called Responsible Conduct of Research. The course is available as both an undergraduate and a graduate class.

Keep in mind, students who are working on projects funding by the NIH may be required to take the class.

The course covers:
  • Social responsibility in research
  • Scientific integrity in the research community
  • Publication, peer review and authorship
  • Collaborative science in academia and industry
  • Conflicts of interest
  • Data management
  • Issues in human subject and animal research
  • Intellectual property

The FAU Research Hub has been upgraded and is now called Meet SparX at FAU. If you previously submitted a research project, login in to the new system to check out the new look and capabilities.

If you're looking for students to work on your research project, a collaborator with specialized expertise or potential funding opportunities, login and explore the potential. The upgrades include:

  • Ability to archive old projects and indicate if you’re no longer looking for collaborators or students.
  • Options to indicate if you’re looking for specialized expertise in a collaborator.
  • Capability to mark whether you’re looking for undergraduate or graduate students, and more.
