~  Important Information for Families  ~

*Delaware City Schools can waive school fees for students who qualify. To apply for a fee waiver, the free/reduced lunch application must be completed. Once approved, fees will be waived for the current school year. (Completing this application is also important for families to receive the P-EBT card, which allows for additional food benefits during the pandemic.)

*During remote learning, families can pick up a week's worth of meals on Wednesdays. These meals are available to all students at no charge. Please complete the meals form to reserve your meals and indicate where you will pick them up. (Limited bus stops have been added to serve students that are not in walking distance.) Holiday Virtual Giving Tree

Schultz Elementary is pleased to be sponsoring a few families within our community this year. Due to the current Covid-19 protocols, 
our "giving tree" is virtual.

When signing up, please be sure to honor the wish list. We strive to provide all of the wishes for each person. If you are unable to complete the wish list for the individual(s) you have sponsored, please contact Anna Wildermuth at [email protected] as soon as possible.

Parent Communication


There are several ways to receive information about Schultz Elementary School and Delaware City Schools. Please check out the following:
  • District website - www.dcs.k12.oh.us
  • Text Messages: to receive text messages from DCS, opt in by texting the word YES to 67587 from the phone on which you want to receive the message.  The number must match the number we have listed in your students' contact file.  If you receive a message that the number is not in the DCS system, please contact the Schultz office and request to add your number or make a change to the number we have on file 
  • Schultz E-Mail List:    to be redirected to the DCS website and sign up to receive Schultz and DCS newsletters, special bulletins and other important information from Schultz Elementary School (check spam folder first time receiving).

School Hours 
Elementary school hours are 8:30 am - 2:55 pm (new dismissal time)
The building opens at 8:00 am for breakfast
Students enter the building at 8:20 am
Tardy bell rings at 8:30 am

 Absence Reporting Procedure
Please call the Schultz office at 740-833-1400 to report your student's absence (the SafeArrival absence reporting system will not be used for the first semester of the 2020-2021 school year).  If your child's absence is not reported by 9:00 am, you will receive a phone call from the school office.
