AACC 2019
Several of our Chemistry Team attended the American Association for Clinical Chemistry (AACC) for their 71st annual meeting in Anaheim, California from August 3-8, 2019.
Check out Dr. Penn Muluhngwi and Dr. Ronald Elin striking a pose with their poster presentation "Verification of newly FDA-approved kappa and lambda free light chain assays on a previously untested platform". Say that three times fast! Authors were Dr. Penn Muluhngwi, Dr. Cierra Sharp, Dr. Nicole Pozzi, Dr. Ronald Elin and Dr. Saeed Jortani.
“Dr. Roland Valdes Jr. and Mrs. Kathie Valdes were able to catch up with their respective counterparts, Captain America and Super Woman, during a reception.
Dr. Cierra Sharp hit it out of the park with "A case of falsely elevated troponin levels using the AccuTnI assay: The presence of an unknown interferant". Authors were Dr. Cierra Sharp, Dr. Penn Muluhngwi, Dr. Nicole Pozzi, Dr. Lisa Bruck and Dr. Saeed Jortani.
Dr. Penn Muluhngwi got a photo op with his poster entitled: "Comparison of electrophoretic systems to detect occult IgA monoclonal immunoglobulins". Authors were Dr. Penn Muluhngwi, Dr. Tyler Yin, Dr. Karen Cost and Dr. Ronald Elin. Way to represent!
Our own Dr. Tiffany Roberts was inducted into the AACC Academy, a very prestigious feat indeed. Dr. Roberts also gave a talk entitled, "Artery Hot Topics". Way to go, Tiffany!
