HOLY FAMILY UNIVERSITY RECEIVES $2 MILLION GRANT

Holy Family University has been awarded a highly-competitive Title III Strengthening Institutions Grant from the U.S. Department of Education. The grant, awarded every two years, is the only one given to a Philadelphia-based institution this year, and it will fund the creation of a new Center for Teaching and Learning.

“This is a game-changer for the University,” said University President, Sister Maureen McGarrity, CSFN . “We qualified to apply for it because of the number of Pell grant recipients we have here, and it’s heartwarming to be able to say that we’ll use those funds to create a center which will not only add to overall academic life on campus, but focus specifically on those most at risk in terms of academic performance.”
