Weekly Bible Study For You
Though our building is closed for the moment, Bible Study at St. Hugh's continues. As I work to expand our other online offerings, Dr. David Haddad has graciously agreed to host the weekly Bible Study via Zoom, on Wednesday morning at 10:00 AM PDT.
If you would like to receive the Zoom invitation please let me know via email and I will make sure you get the meeting information. Join others online as you "read, mark, learn, and inwardly digest" God's holy word. (See BCP p. 236, Collect for Proper 28) ~Fr. Dan

Thank you for your continuing support of St. Hugh's during the pandemic. Please continue to make your regular financial contributions to support the ministry of Christ through our St. Hugh's Church community. See "Partner with us for ministry" later in this email for more details. Make your donation online.

The Twenty-First Sunday After Pentecost
Proper 25
This will be our closing hymn on Sunday, October 25, 2020. Let the first verse remind you of the first part of the Great Commandment. Let the melody and the words play in your heart. This, and other hymns and prayers are available on our St. Hugh's Youtube Channel in the Sing Along With Ed Playlist. ~Fr. Dan
Rise Up, Ye Saints of God
Be reminded: you can always go to our St. Hugh's Playlists for music played by Ed or collected by me. ~Fr. Dan
As we continue "Safer At Home," perhaps visiting a church you might otherwise never visit appeals to you. Hear what the Spirit is saying to God's people; make a "spiritual communion" with those gathered and celebrating with you online.

Collect for Proper 25
Almighty and everlasting God, increase in us the gifts of faith, hope, and charity; and, that we may obtain what you promise, make us love what you command; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen. ~BCP 235
A Prayer for Rain
O God, heavenly Father, who by your Son Jesus Christ promised to all those who seek your kingdom and its righteousness all things necessary to sustain their life: Send us, we entreat you, in this time of need, such moderate rain and showers, that we may receive the fruits of the earth, to our comfort and to your honor; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. ~BCP 828
