As summer draws to a close at LBCC the campus is busy preparing for the arrival of students on August 26.We have been busy all summer with Summer Sessions, Viking Summer Bridge and Summer Recreation programs.On July 18, we welcomed over 160 community members to LBCC to hear Superintendent-President Dr. Reagan Ferragamo Romali celebrate the accomplishments of the 2018-2019 academic year and give attendees a snapshot of the upcoming year.Read all about State of the College in this month's Campus Community newsletter.

   

 

Here in the Alumni Association, we are hard at work preparing for the 2019 Hall of Fame banquet honoring five members of our LBCC Alumni family.We are thrilled to induct Fidel Aguayo, Chan Hopson, Roger Kemp, Chuck Martucci, and Edwina Romero as our newest Hall of Fame honorees.Please join us at The Grand in Long Beach on November 6 for a wonderful evening of friends and celebration beginning with cocktails at 5:30 p.m. We can't wait to see you there!

Long Beach City College is proud to announce seven new and revised Career Technical Education (CTE) programs for the 2019 Fall Semester. CTE programs offer a large number of courses that can lead you directly into the workforce or help you advance in your current career after you complete a degree or certificate in two years or less.

THE LITERARY VOICE
 Three Authors to Speak at Liberal Arts Campus Friday, September 27  
Join us for a day of readings, workshops, and book signings with three local authors, including Professor Emeritus Frank X. Gaspar.

Proceeds from this exciting event will support LBCC's Creative Writing Program, and the event will also highlight the recently re-opened P Building on the Liberal Arts Campus.
