The Tiger's Roar!
Tildenville Elementary School, Winter Garden, FL
"A National Magnet School of Distinction"
Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2019

Thank you again to everyone who turned out for our Open House earlier this month. We were very proud to show off the campus and classrooms and I think all had a wonderful time. We are now already into the second portion of the first nine-week quarter of 2019-2020. Therefore, in this edition you will find a number of important reminders related to the new Skyward Student Information System for families, our Remind App for parent messages, after-school opportunities, and more.

Please remember that tomorrow, September 19th at 5:00 p.m., we will be holding our monthly PTA meeting. All of our school community members are invited and encouraged to attend.

Enjoy the rest of your week and thank you very much for any support with our Hurricane Dorian Bahamas relief donations.

Your District 7 school board member Melissa Byrd will be hosting a community meeting on Thursday, September 19 at Ocoee High School.

The purpose of the meeting is to share and receive feedback on the proposed changes to our school district's strategic plan and discuss the four potential models to adjust the school start times for elementary, middle, and high school students.

School Board Member Melissa Byrd would appreciate you joining her and would value your input. The meeting is again at Ocoee High School on Thursday, September 19 from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Thank you in advance for your participation!

Media Club Update
Thank you to our community for help with the Lego sets!

Media Club started off with grades K and 1 building with Legos. The kids had lots of fun showing off their creativity. During this school year the kids attending Media Club will begin building with Lego sets. Thank you to all those who supported the Donors Choose project to make this happen!

Campus Safety: Meet Our School Resource Officer
Deputy Sheriff Threat of the Orange County Sheriff's Office

I am delighted to be back for the 2019-2020 school year at Tildenville Elementary. A little bit about me; I have been a Deputy Sheriff with Orange County for 10 years. I have been an SRO (School Resource Officer) for the past 5 years, working with and experience with all grade levels. When I was given the opportunity to select my assignment, I chose Tildenville Elementary School. I like to spend my off time playing basketball, video games and making silly Tik Tok videos with my kids (I think my singing voice is Awesome)!

Parents and students, feel free to come up to me anytime and say hi!!

Deputy Threat

Remember Tiger families - if you ever see or hear of something suspicious or unusual, please let me know right away. Thank you for staying aware. Your support is always appreciated!
