Dear STM Families,
Welcome back! It is my hope and prayer that you and your families had a Blessed and restful Thanksgiving Break. We will have a busy couple of weeks before we break again for the Christmas holiday.
Thank you to everyone who made our Grandparents Day such a wonderful event. This day was made so special due to the hard work of our faculty & staff, our students, our parents and of course our Grandparents who were able to attend. This is by far one of our favorite days on the school calendar! Please view our Grandparents Day Pictures by visiting our website at

Please check the Steps-for-Students section below for information regarding upcoming events that your child can participate in. Both the movie night and bingo are such fun events ~ you won't want to miss them!
As the safety of our entire STM community is our top priority, a decision has been made to lock the doors to the main church when we are at an all school Mass. Please know that parents and parishioners are always welcome to join us in our Liturgical Celebration. Once Mass begins, we will lock the back doors and have them monitored for late arriving students and family members. We thank you for your understanding and patience as we implement this new policy.

Steps for Students is 5K run/walk and is a
fundraising event
for our school. Participating schools keep 100% of the funds they raise. We have many fun activities planned from now until race day on
Saturday, February 17, 2018
. Please

Our wonderful faculty leaders are working hard to offer a variety of ways to support this fundraiser, in addition to joining us on race day! On display in the school foyer are items that will be included in the Steps for Students raffle. In addition to buying raffle tickets, students can earn raffle tickets by participating in the fun activities planned. Please see this brochure for details.
Don't forget to get family and friends to sponsor you at the walk. We have many incentives in place for a variety of sponsorship levels. Check out all the fun and exciting details here. Sponsorship Forms will be sent home with your student.

HO HO HO.... Santa is coming to STM for pictures! Skip the lines at the mall and capture this special memory of your child with Santa at the convenience of school. Pictures with Santa will be held on December 6th. Another fun and jolly Steps for Students fundraiser. Check out the flyer here!

Our students had a great time building community as they worked together at the Lego Club! However, we are in need of donations of materials. If you have any Legos you can donate, please send them to the school office. They do not need to be new or in complete sets. Send what you have and our creative students will
put them to good use! Thank you in advance!

store in Rice Village this Thursday November 30th from 6:00pm - 8:00pm and 20% of the proceeds will benefit St. Thomas More. This lovely event will include wine and light bites while you shop and socialize.
She will love the gift and it will benefit a great cause!

Our
STM PAWS volunteers have been busy all over campus this month! They hosted and enjoyed our Fall Parent Coffee on November 15th. Held in the foyer of the new gym, parent coffees are a great time to
connect with old friends and meet some new ones. Keep looking in the Principal's Memo for future dates and take a minute to join us!
Our
PAW prints
were all over the Grandparents Day Event held on Friday, November 17th! STM held a wonderful
morning of Mass, performance and family photos with our honored
grandparent guests. Many thanks to all our PAWS volunteers for the
planning, coordinating and staffing of the event!
