On Friday, February 9 from 6:45 - 9:45pm we'll again host Joy Prom for our nearest and neighbors with Special Needs.
600 volunteers are needed to provide this memorable evening to 400 guests.
And this year, volunteer training will be done ONLINE!
Volunteer roles include:
Hosts/Hostess - who accompany guests throughout the evening
Servers - who wait tables to provide a delightful dessert experience

Root 66 Series Resumes SUNDAY
- In Worship, we begin the New Testament leg of our journey through the Bible, exploring Matthew. And, we'll share the Lord's Supper. Arrive a few minutes early for pre-service announcements and Christmas snap shots!

Dec 5 = Preschool Moms
Enjoy a night out with other moms next Tuesday, December 5!
Join other Carmel women for Mom's Time Out (MTO). All moms who have children ages birth thru completed kindergarten are welcome to gather monthly with other Preschool moms for food, fellowship, mentoring and fun.

Fill the Bins
Let's finish strong our November collections for Charlotte Rescue Mission (CRM)! This week pick up a few of these items to drop in the Collection Bins through Sunday. Your purchases will be used to assemble Christmas gifts for the men served at CRM.

Family Serve Day - Dec 9
Local Ministry Partner Beds for Kids is hosting a Family Serve Day on December 9 from 9:00am - 12:00pm at their warehouse located at 2519 South Tryon Street in Charlotte (28203).
Drop by and see how Beds for Kids impacts the Charlotte area. Simple work stations will be ready for children to help make tables, sand and paint furniture, and make a Christmas ornament or two for your family.
Want to bring a donation? Consider bringing a piece of "essential furniture" such as end tables, coffee tables, or lamps. Or, bring NEW pillows, bed sheets or blankets (any size except King).

New Furniture
If you were at Carmel on Sunday, you no doubt noticed we updated the furniture throughout the main and second floor Gathering Spaces! This furniture is used throughout the week by all of Carmel's ministries to provide people places to wait, rest, meet, talk and connect.
The old furniture was slated to be updated this Fall after 10+ years of heavy use. Some items are now being used in other parts of church. The remaining items were donated to local ministry partner Beds for Kids (which restores used furniture for families in need). |

Volunteers - 18 years and older - are needed to assist with set up and staff the merchandise table. If you have already purchased a ticket and sign up to volunteer, your ticket cost will be refunded. NEW for Women
For 3 Tuesday evenings in January (7:00-8:30pm), the women of Carmel will gather to experience community, encouragement and hope while exploring passages from 2 Timothy with Elizabeth Poplin, Christy Kennedy and Cathy Reed. Registration is open. Childcare is available (with registration). Transportation can be arranged for those not able to drive at night.
