Dear family and friends,

My studio Open House on November 6 was a success and thanks to all of you who attended. Here's another opportunity to come out to the Atrium at EverHeart Salon, 4949 Everhart Rd, this Saturday, December 2, 11-4pm for another Open House. I'll have small painted canvases, mixed media collage (framed and on cradle board), ceramic tile coasters, and of course, jewelry! (See some items below.)

There will be something for everyone's budget, ranging from $10-$300. I'll have gift wrap & bags, too, so you'll be all set for your Holiday gift giving!

I hope to see YOU there!

About Kate:
Beginning as a textile weaver in the early 80's, I transitioned into abstract mixed media in 2011 and began giving my full attention to art-making after retirement from cosmetology in 2013. I am still discovering who I am as an artist. My work was often subjected to parameters like trend, commissioned work or marketing strategies, but now, I make art that satisfies my personal quest in finding God's purpose for my art and expressing my own creative voice. My process involves a back and forth play, never knowing where it will lead. To me, that's  faith at work in the studio.

I am also an artist of contrasts, a country girl living in the city, a mountain lover living by the ocean. Passion for communicating contrasts drives and inspires me as a collage artist and photographer. I use printmaking techniques and love using circles for spiritual significance: eternal, immutable, omnipresent, & never ending.

I live in Corpus Christi, TX with my husband, William, where we enjoy a full ministry life. I also write a blog about restoring divorced lives at: womanatawell.com
