GivingTuesdayThe Glades Initiative Takes Part in #GivingTuesday

#GivingTuesday harnesses the collective power of a unique blend of partners to transform how people think about, talk about and participate in the giving season. It inspires people to take collective action to improve their communities, give back in better, smarter ways to the charities and causes they believe in, and help create a better world.

The Glades Initiative works hard to connect people to critical services and advocates on behalf of our residents for the betterment of our community. We seek to keep our community healthy, fed, engaged, informed and connected. Be a supporter of worthwhile local nonprofits this holiday season -- consider making a donation to support vital programs at The Glades Initiative for #GivingTuesday!

Because of our participation with Honda Birdies for Children, your donation to The Glades Initiative will be matched at 10%, and you will have the chance to win a new car by guessing the total number of birdies made at the 2018 Honda Classic!

FoodMeetingGlades Area Food Meeting

Toastmasters Program in the Glades

The world needs leaders. Leaders head families, coach teams, run businesses and mentor others. These leaders must not only accomplish, they must communicate. By regularly giving speeches, gaining feedback, leading teams and guiding others to achieve their goals in a supportive atmosphere, leaders emerge from the Toastmasters program. Every Toastmasters journey begins with a single speech. During their journey, they learn to tell their stories. They listen and answer. They plan and lead. They give feedback-and accept it. Through our community of learners, they find their path to leadership.
