Congregational Day of Prayer
Monday, November 27 | 7:30 AM - 9 PM
Each month, normally on the fourth Monday when our Session meets, members of our church family, including our pastors, officers, and staff, will take time from their usual schedule to stop and pray for the needs of our congregation and individual members. Any members or church attendees may come and pray any time from 7:30 AM - 9 PM in the chapel of the Community Life Center. More information is on our Prayer Ministry webpage.

DivorceCare: Surviving the Holidays

Our DivorceCare program will be holding an evening seminar to give you help and hope as you navigate the Christmas season. Are you wondering how you will survive the weeks surrounding Thanksgiving and Christmas? Are you dreading these holidays, knowing that everything has changed and that happy memories from past years can't be recreated? Our Surviving the Holidays seminar is especially for people who are separated and divorced. You'll learn how to deal with the many emotions you'll face during the holidays, helpful tips for surviving social events, ways to give your kids a good holiday experience, and how to discover hope for your future. Christmas Worship Concerts: Handel's Messiah
Saturday, December 2, and Sunday, December 3 | 7:00 PM
Christ Covenant Church is proud to present our annual Christmas Worship Concert on two nights in December in our sanctuary. This year we will be doing Handel's Messiah and will feature the Christ Covenant Messiah Choir, Symphony Orchestra, and soloists. Our guest conductor will be Jeffrey Heyl. This concert is free of charge and NO tickets are required. A love offering will be taken to help support the music ministry.

Children's Birthday Party for Jesus
Saturday, December 9 | 10:00 AM - noon
This annual outreach event for children ages 3 to 5th grade helps our families share the true meaning of Christmas in a fun and inviting way. Join us in the Community Life Center for a special story time, songs, crafts, games, face painting, balloon animals, and cookies to decorate! Everything is free! Christmas Poinsettias
Deadline to order: Sunday, December 17
Help beautify our worship center for Christmas by ordering a poinsettia in memory of or in honor of a loved one. The poinsettias will be displayed throughout December. Order forms will be in the worship folder December 3, 10, and 17. To order, enclose $10 per plant (payable to Christ Covenant Church) along with your designation in an envelope marked "Poinsettias." You may put it in the offering bag, bring it to the church office, or mail it to the church Operations Department, Attention: Jill Joyner. Also, you can email Jill at
[email protected]. You may pick up your poinsettia after worship on Christmas Eve.

Do You Need Help with Housework or Yardwork?
Every year, church members and families partner with Campus Outreach to help get our students to the Campus Outreach New Year's Conference. The Lord has used this annual conference in many different ways and we would hate for our students to miss out because of finances.

Paid Childcare Workers Needed
Part-time employment opportunities are currently available at Christ Covenant Church for childcare providers. Pay is $10 per hour with a 2-hour minimum. The current need is for Tuesday mornings from 9:30 AM - 12:15 PM. Other days and times are occasionally available. ProjectSHARE November Collection:
Carrington Place - Sunday is the last day!
Carrington Place Rehabilitation and Living Center is located just down Fullwood Lane from Christ Covenant Church. Their mission is to be the community facility of choice - a Matthews nursing home providing resident-centered and family services with genuine compassion and highest quality. We are collecting shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, men's body wash, cologne, perfume, book lights, magnifying glasses, picture frames, tissue, and wind chimes. Items can be dropped off at the Information Desk by this Sunday, November 26. Please see our

Roper Scholarship
Covenant Day School is accepting applications for its Roper scholarship, which covers up to 80% of a student's annual tuition. This scholarship is available only to Christ Covenant Church member families considering enrolling a new student for the 2018-2019 school year, who would also qualify for financial assistance. The deadline to apply for this scholarship is January 15, 2018. Please contact the CDS Admissions office at 704-847-2385 for more information or to pick up an application.
