AVID BACKS BACKPACKS FOR TRUE CIRCLE

The AVID 9 class was busy. They started the day with a voluntary 8:00-9:30 study session. Students worked in small groups to get ahead in their classes before winter break and final exams. Then during period 3, they organized supplies and stuffed backpacks for True Circle which donates the backpacks to the homeless community. Donations for the backpacks were collected from the entire school. Thank you to all who donated!

PAC PRESENTS AT SHADOW DAY

Each year  parents of 8th grade students that attend a private school in the area is invited to attend PVHS Shadow Day. It is a great place for our PAC, Principal's Advisory Council, students to present to the parents about their PVHS experiences and involvement. Thank you, PAC, for giving the parents a glimpse into the wonderful things that PVHS has to offer to their students.

INTERMEDIATE MATH FIELD DAY

Last week PVHS students volunteered at Intermediate Math Field Day. Our students  worked for three hours in the scoring room and presented awards to the top scorers for our 6th, 7th, and 8th graders competing at Intermediate Math Field Day. The Elementary Math Field Day is January 20--and I am sure that many of these students will be helping on that Saturday morning too! A big shout out to the following students for their service!

GIRLS BASKETBALL

The Varsity Girls' basketball team brought home a trophy after winning the Corona Del Mar Championship game. It was a grueling week of 4 total games played. All the hard work over the last three summers and throughout each school year finally paid off! The team played especially well in the Championship game, a real team effort. And this group of girls are stellar students as well. They truly are scholar athletes, representing PVHS well.
