BEST OF REGION VII SESSION 2017

The NAFSA Region VII Leadership Team voted to advance "Hot Topics for Women Leaders in International Education" to the National Conference in Philadelphia as the Best of Region VII

Presenters, Lisa D Donatelli from LiDon, Inc.; Thandi Dinani from Belmont University; Sara Milani from Wofford College; Sarah Nobles from Auburn University; and Melissa Chambers from Arcadia University offered an interactive session that identified hot topics and unique challenges women in the field face in their own journies into leadership. A forum was created to allow women to discuss their unique strengths as well as barriers to success. Concepts related to how to better model leadership, how to aspire to inspire, how to encourage risk taking and how to develop networks were discussed in detail, with a "Call to Action" drafted to allow the attendees to continue the dialogue around these issues both regionally and nationally.

Congratulations to these talented presenters!
