The Washington County Playhouse Dinner Theater and Children's Theater is set to open their 34th Season with Dan Goggin's hilarious, heavenly hit NUNSENSE A-MEN! Nunsense A-Men! is basically the original "Nunsense" show with all of the characters being portrayed by male musical comedy performers. Think of it as "Mrs. Doubtfire enters the Convent." Done totally seriously, this show is, to quote a critic, "no drag." To quote the New York Times: "A change of habit, boy oh, boy!"
Nunsense A-Men! stars Jeff Clise, Shawn Nakia Law, Shawn R. Martin, Scott Ruble, and Jeremy Trammelle.
The musical runs January 12 through February 17 on Friday and Saturday evenings at 6:00 PM, and select Sundays at 1:00 PM. The performance is preceded by a buffet dinner.
For tickets go to
www.washingtoncountyplayhouse.com or call 301-739-7469. Cost is $48 for Adults and $38 for Children ages 5 to 12. Children under 5 are not admitted.
The Washington County Playhouse is located at
44 North Potomac Street, Rear in the heart of Hagerstown's Arts and Entertainment District.

With an infectiously unforgettable score from the four-time Grammy winner, three-time Oscar winner and musical theatre giant, Stephen Schwartz (Wicked, Godspell, Children of Eden), Pippin has been successfully produced on stages ranging from High School to Broadway. Sweeping the New York Awards circuit (Tony, Drama Desk, Drama League, Outer Critics Circle) in 2013, Pippin continues to captivate and appeal to the young at heart throughout the world.

Heir to the Frankish throne, the young prince Pippin is in search of the secret to true happiness and fulfillment. He seeks it in the glories of the battlefield, the temptations of the flesh and the intrigues of political power (after disposing of his father, King Charlemagne the Great). In the end, though, Pippin finds that happiness lies not in extraordinary endeavors, but rather in the unextraordinary moments that happen every day.
