I don't know about you, but for me, Advent has flown by. With just 5 days left until Christmas, it is my prayer that we can slow down and, together with the universal church, prepare our hearts to receive our King.

But as we approach Christmas and the New Year, I am also filled with gratitude and awe at all you made possible this year through your friendship with Catholic World Mission.  In 2017, you:
  • rebuilt a church in Ghana
  • gave hope to persecuted Catholics in Cuba
  • fed orphans in HondurasKenya, and DR Congo
  • jumpstarted a convent in Sri Lanka
  • funded scholarships for hundreds of students in our Mano Amiga network of schools throughout Latin America and the Philippines;
  • provided invaluable aid and empowerment to 1,300 women in India; and many, many more projects!
We can't do this work without you. Now is the time for year-end giving. There is still time to make a final contribution! Together, let's help our many partners throughout the world finish 2017 strong. Click here to make a difference today.

2,947 kids in India wait for a Christmas miracle - and it's EASY to give them one!
Over the last few years, you've fed thousands of children in rural India a special Christmas meal. For many of us, some chicken and an apple is a meal that's easy to come by, and might even be part of our daily diet. But for these schoolchildren in India, who only eat rice and lentils every day, chicken and an apple is an absolute feast

This year, you can give 2,947 children a Christmas they'll never forget! Christmas is just around the corner, but it's not too late to make this year the best Christmas yet for these deserving children.

You helped hundreds of poor Catholics see
Pope Francis in Bangladesh
Pictured above: Deacon Rick visited Bottomley House Orphanage in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Bottomley House is home to more than 140 girls. Here, he's pictured with some of the girls who live there, along with Sister Mary, one of the sisters who runs the orphanage.
Earlier this month, I had the incredible opportunity to travel to Bangladesh to see Pope Francis. It was a wonderful trip and so encouraging to hear Pope Francis's message of compassion and forgiveness.

Join me in continuing to pray for the Rohingya refugees, Bangladesh, and Myanmar, and that the peace of Christ would reign in these countries. Please pray for the dignity of all people to be recognized and received in every heart, especially at Christmas.

Thank You.

Your generosity is what makes our mission of alleviating material and spiritual poverty by empowering the poor and sharing the
