The Story
The Story Classes

Rev. Stan Beard is leading a class on Wednesdays at 11:00am in Fellowship Hall called, "The Rest of the Story", it's presented by Growing Together in Faith, and open to everyone.

Women's Bible Study taught by Cynthia Blase. Wednesday mornings from 9:15-10:45am, LC3. For women of all ages, childcare will be provided with an RSVP.

Online Maps and Biblical Dictionary: Paul has recommended two resources as we read through The Story. Here is a large collection of Biblical Maps, that help show the areas we are reading about; and here is an in depth Bible dictionary.
Christmas
Christmas Eve Service Times - December 24th
9:30am: Since Christmas Eve is falls on a Sunday this year, we will have one morning service at 9:30am in the Sanctuary. This will be different from the evening services.

5:00pm: This Fun, Interactive Experience is great for the whole family, with Joyous Christmas Music, Wonderful Storytelling, and lots of Holiday Cheer. Celebrate the birth of the Savior with a joy-filled heart.

7:00 and 9:00pm: Join us for these traditional candlelight services with hymns and carols, and a moving message celebrating the coming Messiah. Emanuel.

Pick up a copy of the 2017 Advent Daily Devotional written by Rev. Stan Beard this Sunday and read the scripture and reflection for the 22 days leading to Christmas.

Interfaith Shelter Move-In Date is Dec. 31st
We are hosting individuals and families on a path to escape homelessness Dec. 31 - Jan. 13. We need 6 more overnight hosts. Sign ups and information in the courtyard. Jon Mangerich 858-483-9654, [email protected]

Clippers With The San Diego Street Choir - Tonight, Dec. 15th
Give your heart a Christmas gift!  Come experience the San Diego Street Choir in Concert for an uplifting program of Christmas and Christian music directed by LJPC Worship and Arts Director Ron Bolles. The San Diego Street Choir - Changing Lives Through Music - We Celebrate - We smile - We sing. The San Diego Street Choir Christmas Program is open to the entire congregation. If you plan to come for dinner, please purchase a ticket at the table on the patio after church. The theme will be Christmas and the meal will be prepared and served by the Clippers Board Members. The main course will be Filet Mignon with Bordelaise Sauce over Garlic Mash Potatoes. Dessert will be Cheesecake with Raspberry Sauce. You may also RSVP and reserve a ticket for purchase at the door by contacting Tom or Marilyn Wickstrom by clicking HERE or by calling 858-569-4861. If you just want to hear the San Diego Street Choir perform, please come at 7:30 pm. Seating will be provided.

Ladle Fellowship - Dec. 31st
Hunger doesn't take holidays.

This year, New Year's Eve is the 5th Sunday of the month, and we're heading down to First Presbyterian Church, Downtown to serve a hot meal to the homeless guests. We'll be back by 4:00pm, in plenty of time to celebrate the new year with a full heart, and end 2017 with a wonderful feeling.

Sunday Dec. 31st, meet at the fountain in the Courtyard before 12:00pm to carpool, or at First Pres. Downtown at 1:00pm. It is a wonderful and easy local mission trip. Find details at reception. Please bring clothes for Ladle to distribute.
