Husky Elite
Please join us in congratulating our class of 2018 Husky Elite! These students represent the top 10 8th grade students, based on their weighted grade point averages, and have shown exceptional academic prowess that places them in an elite class of students.

Husky Elite recipients receive merit awards for the Fairmont Preparatory Academy. These awards are renewable for all four years of high school if the students meet the maintenance requirements. Truly, it is quite an honor to receive such an award.

Winter Break
Don't forget, Eagles: Winter break will begin on Monday, December 18, and school will resume on Tuesday, January 2. The campus will be closed during these two weeks. Enjoy your holiday!

Happy Holidays from Your Fairmont Librarians
Winter break is a wonderful opportunity for your student to relax and enjoy a good book! Remind your child to stop by the library and select some favorite titles to enjoy during the break. New selections are now available in Fairmont's Overdrive digital library, which offers 4th through 8th grade students more opportunities to read the books they love on their mobile devices. We recently added a number of popular titles, and our students now have an impressive collection of more than 1,350 books from which to choose!

Husky Highlight
Baking Treats for Hearts in Need of Hope
When you are tired of studying for finals, what do you do? You join Mrs. Kunkle at the Ronald McDonald House and bake! One student had a great time making and baking sugar cookies, chocolate chip cookies, and brownies for the families staying at the Ronald McDonald House.

It is not easy to have a child at a hospital with an illness or disease. Fairmont Prep is proud to join the Ronald McDonald House in promoting its mission "to provide comfort, care, and support to children and families in Southern California" and vision of "a community where children and their families embrace life and healing with a sense of hope, enthusiasm, courage, and joy." Paws for a Cause!
