Thrive Church Celebrates its Grand Opening in Lake Nona
One of the top challenges in church planting is finding the right location. Since Lake Nona is so new and fast growing there are few, if any, venues available for a new church to meet. Lake Nona's first hotel was built just in time for Thrive Church to utilize its small conference room for a first-stage launch last December.
As the church continued building a launch team and praying for the right venue to come available for the church
to fully launch within, God opened the door to the region's newest middle school. This was a huge blessing, but Thrive couldn't begin meeting there until construction was completed over the summer months.
Finally Thrive's persistence paid off as the new church celebrated its Grand Opening at Innovation Middle School on September 24th with nearly 200 attending! This
$34 million facility is not only a beautiful new school but is an incredibly
well-suited environment for the church's Sunday ministries. The Lake Nona corridor of Orlando has over 58,000 residents and is expected to triple in population size within the next ten years. There is currently only one church with property to serve this entire region. God's provision of Innovation Middle as Thrive Church's worship facility has strengthened the church's belief that God is up to something big through this new church in Lake Nona!
