Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) of the Carolinas
announced the recipients of the construction industries premier awards, the Excellence In Construction (EIC) Awards. The Awards were presented at the 16th annual EIC banquet at the Hilton Hotel in Charlotte, NC.
The pinnacle of the Excellence in Construction Awards is the Project of the Year Award. To earn this prestigious award, contractors must demonstrate a superior level of performance, excellence in meeting or exceeding project quality requirements, design specifications, safety procedures, project team collaboration, overcoming unique obstacles and meeting the project schedule.
Brasfield & Gorrie
was honored with the
General Contractor Project of the Year Award
for the
AvidXchange
project located in Charlotte, NC.
Lithko Contracting, LLC was honored with the Specialty Contractor Project of the Year Award for the Carolina Square project located in Chapel Hill, NC.
"The EIC Awards showcases the Best of the Best construction projects in the Carolinas," said Doug Carlson, ABC President & CEO. "These projects exemplify the expertise of our skilled craftsmen and women, building some amazing Churches, Schools, Hospitals and Commercial Buildings."

Richland School District Two Institute of Innovation
for an environmentally friendly building in Columbia, SC.
Frampton Construction
was recognized with the
Free Enterprise Award
for the
Confidential Renovation and Expansion
project in Charleston, SC for the highest use of Merit Shop ABC members on a particular project.
Balfour Beatty
received the Carolinas
Design-Build Award
for the
Francis Marion University Luther F. Carter Center for Health Sciences
in Florence, South Carolina.
Barnhill Contracting Company
was honored with the
BIM (Building Information Technology) Award
for their
Hill Hall, University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill
project.
