A Wonderful Celebration in our City
This past Thursday, October 26th our community came together to Party in the City at Mile High Station

During the cocktail and social hour, event guests participated in games and bid on some incredible silent auction items; many of which were contributed by our friends in the medical community. They also enjoyed music from the live band while sipping the event's signature drinks. After guests feasted on a delicious and festively fall themed meal and dessert, they played Heads & Tails for a chance to win a two-night stay in Keystone and participated in a Live Auction filled with sporting event tickets and some incredible Colorado getaway. The party concluded with guests celebrating the peaks we've climbed and the valley's  we've navigated over the years. The generosity we received at the event, and the additional contributions we received from those who were unable to attend, has ensured that the Association can to climb even higher, continue to push boundaries and invest in life-changing programs which connect and empower those living with Parkinson's to thrive. This support means we have the funds to keep expanding our programs for the remainder of 2017 and into the next year.

We are thankful to all those who joined us for this lively celebration. We are especially thankful to those who shared how the Parkinson Association has impacted their lives and the lives of their parents and grandparents with Parkinson's.  Click here to watch for yourself!

Thanks & Thriving Video Contest
We are approaching the time of year when we hear that our community is struggling; especially those who have been recently diagnosed. We know that the holidays and the looming winter weather play a role in this onset of melancholy; but this year we want to be proactive and help our community to thrive. That is why w e have created a video contest challenge called Thanks & Thriving, but we need your help to make it happen! W e want you to create a short video about how you're thriving!

We're asking that you create a short video telling us how YOU thrive! Share your advice, hopes, inspirations or tips and tricks! Tell us what you're thankful for!

Here's how the Thanks & Thriving video campaign works:
1. You'll create a 30-90 second video
2. You'll submit your video by email by Monday, November 6th
3. The Association will post submitted videos online by Wednesday, November 22nd
4. You'll vote, over the Thanksgiving Holiday weekend (Thursday, November 23 - Tuesday, November 28), for the most inspirational video by:
  • A person living with Parkinson's
  • A group supporting one another with their Parkinson's (ie: support groups, exercise classes, etc.)
  • A person caring for someone living with Parkinson's (ie: spouse, child, friend, etc.)
5. Winners will be announced by Friday, December 1st

After we've concluded the Thanks & Thriving video challenge we'll continue to share these videos with those in our community who need some inspiration and to know they are not alone. Need inspiration? Click here!
