Preparing your hearts and minds for Thanksgiving Sunday
Pastor Peter will be preaching on "Gratitude Attitude" on Sunday, November 26. Read Sunday's scripture to prepare: 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 . You may also prepare by reading the Thanksgiving Prayer written by the Beacon Rock Sunday School class:
Thank you Lord for a happy home
Never let us be alone
Thank you Lord for delicious food
that puts us all in a good mood
Thank you Lord for our family
that takes us through life happily
Thank you Lord for our friends
They bring us joy that never ends
Thank you Lord for all you give
I will take it with me as long as I live
In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

Beacon Rock Sunday School Class taught by Indu Thomas and Kerry Dale.
Students: Marina Fontanilla, Jamie Garza, Sadie May, Laila Murphy, Logan Patterson, and Miles Salvi
Small Group Spotlight:
Green Ministry Team is a small, active group that focuses on protecting God’s beautiful earth by promoting “reduce, reuse, and recycle” efforts within the church. Green Team brought the green composting bins to the church and strives through education to reduce the amounts of food waste and used paper products that go into garbage containers, and ultimately to land fills. We believe that if each of us concentrates on making one small change to protect the environment, those changes multiply to result in a large effect.

With the church’s increasing activities involving food (Sunday light lunches, Messy Church, Barb’s Family and Friends) the Green Team could use your help. Please consider joining the team, or volunteering to be trained as a green bin “Recycle Ranger.”
