Quilt
Blessing
This
Sunday

Imagine the comfort that comes from a hug at the time when you need it most. That's the feeling we share with an Lutheran World Relief Quilt. Today, we're blessing 82 LWR quilts made this year by our Nativity Quilters, which will then be packed and sent around the world to our neighbors in need.  First and foremost, recipients use their LWR Quilts to shield against the cold and rain, and for warm bedding .  But their versatility also makes quilts useful as simple tents, floor coverings, or a wrap to hold a baby on a mother's back. We say a special thank you to our Nativity Quilters who are dedicated to this important ministry: Ann Dasher, Princess Ferguson, Ann Harvey, Sue Jacklin, Renee Park, Brenta Poole, and Helen Summers

HURRICANES HARVEY, IRMA and MARIA
Join other Thrivent members by supporting disaster relief efforts.

from Thrivent.com - 2017 Hurricanes - The recent hurricanes have left an overwhelming trail of destruction.  Harvey uprooted the lives and livelihood of hundreds of thousands of people in Texas and western Louisiana.  Weeks later, Irma and Maria caused chaos and devastation in Florida as well as Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.  You can make a personal donation on  Thrivent.com to provide assistance to hurricane victims.  When you do, Thrivent will double the impact - up to $3 million.  This opportunity will run until the $3 million match is met or until December 31, 2017, whichever comes first.
